Countdown to the Moon

665 – Neil Sharpson

Neil Sharpson is the author of When the Sparrow Falls, an intricate tale of how people who are taught to hate, learn to see each other in a new light, and develop a close, loving relationship. It is a tale of a future world where advanced AI runs most of the world and humans can transfer their consciousness between bodies and computer worlds. But where a group of humans in the Caspian Republic attempt to live life in the old ways. It is one of the best books that I have read. And on reading it for a second time, I see new things. “When the Sparrow Falls” shows what can happen when every word “tells”.

I was thrilled when Neil agreed to sit down for a Countdown to the Moon interview. Humanity needs to “keep the story going”. Going out to space is a necessary step to make this happen.
